Description
The painting depicts a shaman and his/her connection to the forest as he imagines himself as the germination of a seed that splits in half into siblings. In an intense concentration the Shaman prepares for a religious experience. Floating like a cloud under a river, the icy chill touches his cherry kissed skin. It turns a pale crimson and purple as it merges under the border of a cloth in crescent shadows. A deep mustard and brown flock of butterflies turn to reflections of a tomato orange berry and echo the shades and highlights of the Shaman’s hair. Amongst dreamed schools of fishes, mint moths, crabs, a glorified squirrel, purple eared bunnies and lush fruit – a wisp of wind blows his hookah smoke through the busy composition.
