CONTINUUM: ARTISTS ACROSS TIME AND SPACE

Gallery Time and Space invites you to a week-long celebration of contemporary art, featuring a massive collective exhibition alongside exclusive solo showcases by renowned masters. Hosted at the prestigious Venkatappa Art Gallery, this event brings together over 50 artists to explore the dynamic ethos of art across generations and geographies.

Event Highlights

1. Group Show: CONTINUUM – Artists Across Time and Space This flagship exhibition features works by 50+ artists, creating a “living journey” that mirrors humanity’s rhythms, struggles, and hopes.

  • Theme: The exhibition embraces the metaphysical aspects of space—consciousness, light, and love—holding the past, present, and future in a continuum.

  • Featured Artists: The lineup includes prominent names such as Jatin Das, G Reghu, Gurudas Shenoy, Dimpy Menon, Asit Patnaik, and many others.

2. Solo Show: S.G. Vasudev A dedicated showcase of the works of renowned painter and Cholamandal Artists’ Village founder-member, S.G. Vasudev.

  • About the Artist: Known for his acclaimed “Vriksha” (Tree of Life) series and “Maithuna” (Act of Love) themes, Vasudev works across various mediums including drawings, paintings, copper reliefs, and silk tapestries.

  • Scope: The show will feature his signature styles, including the evolution of his tree motifs into “Humanscapes” and “Earthscapes”.

3. Solo Show: Asit Poddar An exhibition tracing the artistic evolution of Asit Poddar, featuring works influenced by his time in Japan and travels through Europe.

  • Style: Poddar’s work is a unique blend of cultural sensibilities, rendering European architecture and motifs using sketches, watercolors, pastels, and Sumi ink expressions.


About the Organizer: Since its inception, Gallery Time and Space has acted as a hub for cultural activity in Bangalore, promoting both masters of the 20th century and emerging young talent. The gallery views art not just as expression, but as a refuge and an instrument of awareness that extends paradigms of consciousness.
