Artist Statement
Preksha Tater (b.1981) graduated from M.S.University, Vadodara in MFA and BFA, Painting, in the year 2005 and 2007 respectively. In 2009 she did her first solo show called Small Wonders at Strand Art Room, Mumbai. In the same year she received the Inlaks Fine Arts award and was also selected to be part of FICA annual group show at Vadehra Art Gallery. She received the Nasreen Mohamedi Award in the year 2007. She has participated in numerous national and international residencies and exhibitions in Delhi, Baroda, Mumbai, Egypt, Korea, London etc. From 2014 until 2022 she was a lecturer at the V.N.S.G.U. Faculty of Fine Arts, Surat, Gujarat.
