Artist Statement
After starting her career as a social activist, where she dedicated herself to uplifting underprivileged children, Aparna Rajapandian embarked on a journey to hone her artistic talents. This journey led her to explore various mediums, including oil paints, charcoal, and pitt pens, before ultimately embracing polychromos pencils as her preferred tool of expression. The majority of her recent works feature women and animals, reflecting her deep empathy towards these subjects.
Art Blend Café showcased Aparna’s artwork for an impressive five-month duration and extended an invitation for her to lead a workshop on charcoal and graphite art. Additionally, she was honored as the featured artist of the month in May 2018.
